On June 14 and 15, 2023, the Hospitality Summit at Halle 550 entered its third round, once again strengthening its position as a lighthouse event for the hospitality industry. Over 1400 participants, 80 speakers and 90 partners attended the congress and experienced informative keynotes, exciting panel discussions and workshops in the large plenum, as well as on the Expert stage, Swisscom stage and the various breakout rooms.
Highlights included the keynote speach by Swiss scientist Dr. Thomas Zurbuchen entitled 'Leadership: Reaching for the Stars Together,' as well as the award ceremony for the coveted 'Hotelier of the Year' . Christian Eckert, Managing Director of the hotel 'The Omnia Mountain Resort' in Zermatt, secured the title of Hotelier of the Year for 2023, which was awarded by the top-class jury of experts. The singer Naomi Lareine inspired the guests during the award ceremony, ensuring an unforgettable evening.
After the award ceremony, the renowned hotels, including The Dolder Grand, Park Hyatt Zurich, 7132 Vals, Grand Resort Bad Ragaz and The Living Circle - consisting of Storchen Zurich, Widder Hotel, and Hotel Alex Lake Zurich - provided a culinary variety of dishes for the approximately 700 guests to enjoy at the evening event.
WOEHRLE PIROLA has been jointly responsible for the concept development and implementation of the congress in close cooperation with HotellerieSuisse since the initiation of the Summit in the beginning of 2020. The next Hospitality Summit will take place on June 12 and 13, 2024.
