SOCAR opened the first hydrogen filling station on a Swiss motorway at the Grauholz Süd service area in the canton of Bern on 9 June 2023. This milestone in sustainable mobility is the beginning of energy-efficient and climate-friendly mobility and an important step for SOCAR in the development of a nationwide network of hydrogen filling stations in Switzerland.
Around 130 guests were present at the opening ceremony. These included Ambassador Isgandarov of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Member of the Government Council Neuhaus and Mr Röthlisberger, Director of the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). These and other invited guests held exciting speeches on the future of mobility and hydrogen technology, followed by a visit to the new hydrogen pump and the first refuelling of a hydrogen-powered truck. The opening ceremony was concluded with a apéro riche.
WOEHRLE PIROLA supported SOCAR in the organisation and realization of the grand opening and was responsible for the overall concept, the planning and organisation as well as the ideation of the give-aways.
